Kassasystemlova – new requirements 2019

All new cash register systems sold for use in the Norwegian market after 1.1.2017 must comply with new requirements. There shall be a product statement on the system that shows that the system is in line with the regulations. This product statement shall store with the registered with the cash register system.

The bookkeeping has been given a transfer rule until 1 January 2019 regarding the upgrade or replacement of cash register systems. Up to this point, older systems that do not meet the new requirements can still be used. All new equipment acquired for use in the business after 1. 2017, however, must comply with the new rules
